No.A/474a, regarding the securities deposited with us on

account of the Note issue of the Hong Kong and Shanghai

Banking Corporation in Hong Kong and the Straits

Settlements, I have the honour to report for the information

of the Secretary of State that we have released to the

Bank 288,000 Ceylon 6% Stock Certificates 1936/51 and have

received in exchange £100,000 4% Funding Loan Bonds 1960/90.
